- The RN is a member of the Patient Care Services Team and is responsible for the satisfactory completion of nursing care by the nursing team.
- The RN manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families, applying independent judgment and collaborating with all team members.
- The RN establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians and other health care providers.
- The RN delegates, assesses, provides, and evaluates patient care, and provides and delegates patient care activities to team members.
- The RN monitors patient progress and prepares patients for discharge.
- The RN reports directly to senior unit management and participates in shared decision‑making activities.
- Graduation from a school of nursing (BSN preferred).
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
