Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg – Detroit Medical Center – Hamtramck, Michigan.

• Under limited supervision, coordinate the implementation of the treatment plan identified by the healthcare provider in an ambulatory/outpatient setting.
• Perform assessment of clients to facilitate appropriate access and level of care required.
• Support the care process by triage, patient education, implementing consultations and referrals, participation in team conferences, discharge planning and telephone follow-up to clients.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
• Six to twelve months of experience in ambulatory care or community health preferred.
• License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.

• Analytical skills necessary to evaluate patient status, healthcare procedures/techniques, and to monitor quality of patient care.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to work productively with all levels of hospital personnel.
• Verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with diverse populations including employees, patients and patient families.
