Position: staff - Registered Nurse (RN) - Clinical Coordinator, Occupational Health - $33-45 per hour

Job Summary

In addition to the staff nurse role, the Clinical Coordinator assumes shift responsibilities for the care delivery team. The coordinator assists in coordinating the provision of care through assigning and scheduling staff, prioritizing, delegating, and evaluating patient care. The coordinator supports process improvement activities, works with an interdisciplinary team to problem‑solve system and unit‑based issues, provides input into performance appraisals, assists with staff educational requirements, and participates in unit and hospital initiatives.

Responsibilities

Acts as lead and resource person for nursing personnel.

Facilitates staff meetings and development under the clinical manager.

Monitors scheduling to assure adequate nurse‑patient ratios, reviews monthly schedules, and coordinates staffing changes.

Facilitates shared decision‑making among staff and unit throughput to improve LOS.

Coordinates in‑service programs to maintain staff competence.

Assists with interview, selection, retention, mentoring, and evaluation of staff.

Participates in development of policies, procedures, and standards; assists with process improvement and peer review.

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree/Diploma required; BSN preferred.

Licensed Registered Nurse in Michigan.

1–2 years of progressively responsible experience with demonstrated leadership.

Ability to prioritize work, delegate, and facilitate processes.

Minimum Level 6 of Promoting Excellence Performance Criteria (internal candidates preferred).

BLS required; ACLS preferred.
