Ongoing, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour shift, Staff

Under general supervision of the manager for the specialty area, the RN serves as a member of the multidisciplinary team to provide consultative nursing services within a clinical area of specialization. The RN acts as a patient advocate, provides emotional support, and supplies home‑care instructions to patients and families. The RN also provides ongoing staff and community education and supports the implementation of outreach and outpatient programs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Michigan.
• Specialty certification by a professional organization is preferred.
• A minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience, including one year in the area of specialization.
• Two to three years of pediatric nursing experience, including one year in the area of specialization, if in a pediatric setting; pediatric acute care experience preferred.
