Aboutthis Role
CDL Laborers are an essential part of our field operations at IFS Infra Source. You will support underground utility construction projects by operating commercial vehicles, transporting equipment and materials, and performing hands‑on labor tasks in an outdoor construction environment. This role is physically demanding and requires a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality.
What You’ll Do- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles and transport materials, equipment, and crew members to and from job sites
- Load or assist with loading and unloading construction materials and equipment
- Utilize hand tools to dig near existing underground utilities
- Support excavation, installation, back filling, and restoration activities as directed
- Complete pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections on assigned vehicles
- Assist in securing the work site, vehicle, equipment, and materials at the end of each shift
- Prepare documents, reports, or job aids related to work performed, vehicle inspections, equipment, and safety
- Perform general labor and miscellaneous duties as assigned to support project success
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check
- Ability to pass DOT-required drug & alcohol testing requirements
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods and perform repeated physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs., kneeling, crawling, climbing, and reaching
- Strong commitment to working safely and following established procedures
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and travel as needed for projects
