Overview
Under the supervision of the dean, the program coordinator is responsible for the daily operations of the assigned instructional program(s). The coordinator is responsible for teaching courses, designing and developing curriculum, evaluating adjunct personnel and student performance, and advising students.
Responsibilities- Teach courses within the assigned program(s).
- Design and develop curriculum.
- Evaluate adjunct personnel and student performance.
- Advise students.
- A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Technology or related field OR an associate degree in Welding Technology, Mechanical or Industrial Technology or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Welding.
- Five (5) years of related industry experience in welding is preferred.
- Candidates must acquire AWS CWI or CWE certifications within two (2) years as a condition of employment.
- Three (3) years of formal welding training sufficient for skill development in a college, vocational, or military training setting is highly preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills are required.
- Faculty must remain current in their discipline and show evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Qualified applicants must perform welding performance tests in all processes to be taught.
- Candidate must be able to function in an environment characterized by continual change in information technology.
