Temp, PT Peer Tutor; TRIO

Responsibilities

• Provide academic assistance to a diverse population of students through individual and/or small group tutoring sessions.
• Use effective instructional strategies to review key concepts, demonstrate problem‑solving strategies, reinforce study skills, and prepare students for tests.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and effectively communicate student progress with TRIO Student Support Services staff while preserving student confidentiality.
• Participate in professional development opportunities, including orientation and training workshops.

• Recommended by at least two instructors and/or staff members.
• Transcripts reflecting knowledge in the subject (letter grades of an A or
  
  B) for the class being tutored.
• In good academic and financial standing with the College.
• Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
