Mechanical Engineer

SAIC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Hanahan, SC.

The Mechanical Engineer Will:

• Develop static and dynamic design and analysis of mechanical systems, equipment and packages
• Review performance specifications and continuously track all metrics to ensure prototype designs and systems are in accordance with the customer's needs and requirements
• Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs
• Utilizes Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Software to ensure designs meet all anticipated load and vibration profiles
• Direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication
• Provide design information to drafting for packaging documentation. Review and approve all drafting documentation

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree and Two (2) or more years of experience
• Must have design experience
• Must have Solidworks experience
• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• CREO & ANSYS experience
• Windchill experience
