Mechanical Engineer
SAIC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Hanahan, SC.
Job DescriptionThe Mechanical Engineer Will:
- Develop static and dynamic design and analysis of mechanical systems, equipment and packages
- Review performance specifications and continuously track all metrics to ensure prototype designs and systems are in accordance with the customer's needs and requirements
- Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs
- Utilizes Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Software to ensure designs meet all anticipated load and vibration profiles
- Direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication
- Provide design information to drafting for packaging documentation. Review and approve all drafting documentation
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree and Two (2) or more years of experience
- Must have design experience
- Must have Solidworks experience
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- CREO & ANSYS experience
- Windchill experience
