Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Manager

A rapidly growing, real estate investment platform is seeking an experienced Controller to lead financial operations across a complex, multi-entity structure. This role will serve as a key member of the leadership team, ensuring institutional-quality reporting, strong internal controls, and scalable infrastructure to support continued growth.

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple entities
• Establish and maintain GAAP-compliant accounting policies
• Design and enhance internal controls to support audit readiness and scale
• Oversee consolidated financial reporting
• Deliver timely, accurate investor and lender reporting packages
• Serve as primary liaison to auditors, lenders, and tax advisors
• Manage annual audits and support diligence processes

• Oversee accounting for complex capital structures, including capital accounts and waterfalls
• Monitor covenant compliance and reporting requirements
• Supervise cash management, capital activity, and distributions

• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes
• Provide variance analysis and financial insights to leadership
• Support transaction activity (acquisitions, dispositions, financing) from an accounting and reporting perspective
• Evaluate and optimize accounting systems and workflows
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives
• Manage internal accounting staff and third-party providers

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
• 10+ years of progressive experience within investment platforms or real estate
• Deep knowledge of GAAP and multi-entity accounting structures
• Experience supporting commercial real estate investor reporting and audits
• Proven ability to build scalable processes in growth-oriented environments
• Strong analytical skills, executive presence, and high integrity
