Surgical Technologist II, Surgery Center of the Lakelands, PRN

The surgical technologist prepares the operating room, obtains instruments, supplies and equipment necessary to assist the physician during surgery. He/she will have an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipate the needs of the surgeon. Assists with patient care as delegated by an RN in accordance with the medical plan of care, established SRH and Nursing Policies and Standard Work.

Performs any other job-related duties as requested by the Nurse Manager of Department Director.

Must be a graduate of an program for Surgical Technologists and hold Certification administered by the NBSTSA or complete appropriate military training program for surgical technology or provide evidence of employment to practice surgical technology in a health care facility in SC prior to 1/1/2008 or is in the service of the federal government, to the extent the person is performing duties related to that service.

At least 5 years' experience or NBSTSA Certified. BLS certified.
