• the blaster/painter will perform blasting and painting utilizing marine coatings to specified contract requirements.
• will be responsible for seeing that multiple surfaces have been prepared for the application of high-performance coatings.
• will oversee the proper use of solvents, acids, detergents, and power and hand tools.
• responsible for having knowledge of various blast methods and equipment to oversee the painting and coating of vessels, tanks, and equipment.
• will direct the blasting of abrasive-laden compressed air or water against metal or hard‑composition objects to remove adhering scale, sand, paint, grease, tar, rust and dirt to impart even finish.
• must also be knowledgeable and have experience in marine hydro blasting.
• required to oversee the use, care, and maintenance of the blasting equipment.
• will inspect all blasting/paining equipment regularly, perform preventative maintenance as scheduled, and maintain adequate parts and supplies.

• minimum of 5+ years of experience in a marine facility or shipyard environment.
• valid twic (transportation workers identification credential), valid driver's license, and first aid & cpr.
• read, write, and clearly communicate in english.
