Quality Assurance Technician
SAIC is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for our Hanahan, SC location.
This role directly supports the Quality System, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control requirements, ensuring all work meets the Government's expectations for customer satisfaction, defect-free products and services, and fully documented quality processes. The specialist acts as a technical quality resource, executing inspections, and documentation tasks required of the contract.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a compliant quality system supporting customer satisfaction and defect-free products
- Maintain documented processes, procedures, and planning artifacts for an auditable QMS
- Prepare and deliver QAP and CDRL documentation within required time frames
- Support contract-required capabilities including documented processes, issue tracking, monitoring variations, field performance feedback, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement
- Execute inspections including incoming, FAI, CoCs, sampling per MIL-STD-1916, and measurement/analysis metrics
- Apply best industry practices, including ISO/IEC 15288:2015, ISO/IEC 12207:2017, Lean Six Sigma, Risk Management, and Systems Engineering methodologies
- Support sampling and inspection activities, ensuring all QC evidence meets contract standards
- Prepare nonconformance documentation, and ensure traceability for corrective actions
- Provide objective evidence including incoming receipt inspections, first article inspections, CoCs, sampling inspections (MIL-STD-1916 Level III), and measurement/analysis metrics
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Formal Electronics Training or Military equivalent A/B School
- 10 years of experience in electronics, mechanical or systems maintenance
- At least four (4) of the last eight (8) years of experience with C5
ISR systems, subsystems and equipment - Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- Experience supporting NIWC Atlantic programs
- Experience supporting Government or DoD quality systems
- Knowledge of QAP, contract-driven QMS processes, and CDRL documentation requirements
- Experience with process audits and quality inspections
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-1916, FAI, CoC, and defect-prevention methodologies
- Strong documentation, communication, and root-cause analysis skills
- Works with program teams to maintain compliance with the QAP and all QMS-driven tasks
