The ideal candidate will have strong experience in interpreting engineering drawings, understanding specifications, and performing hands‑on inspections to ensure precise adherence to contract and product standards.

  • Prepare and maintain detailed inspection documentation, including inspection reports, Certificates of Conformance (CoCs), and any quality control records.
  • Identify and document nonconforming materials, products, or processes and communicate findings to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Assist in root‑cause analysis and coordinate with the team to implement corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Use measurement tools and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools, as needed for inspections.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure all processes align with the contractor's Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) and required standards.
  • Track quality trends and metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support audit and sampling requirements per contract standards and best practices, promoting defect prevention and improving overall quality performance.

  • Bachelor's degree and zero (0) experience. Will accept experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+ years of experience (without degree) in Quality Control for fabricated metal components, cable assemblies, or related hardware.

  • Hands‑on experience with inspection processes such as First Article Inspections (FAI), CoCs, and sampling inspections (MIL-STD-1916 or similar standards).
  • Familiarity with common quality standards such as ISO 9001, MIL-STD specifications, and related processes.
  • Knowledge of tools and equipment used in inspections, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to document inspection results clearly and accurately.
  • Understanding of fabricated metals, including welding, machining, and assembly practices.

  • Effective communication and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
