Security Officer - Property Monitoring

You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to deter security incidents, and support access activity with strong customer service and communication.

Position type:
Full Time. Pay rate: $17.37 per hour.

Schedule:

Day Time Tue 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM, Wed 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM, Sat 08:00 AM – 08:00 PM, Sun 08:00 AM – 08:00 PM.

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control practices, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology‑focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations calmly, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and report unusual activity, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations according to post instructions.
• Support a professional environment by providing directions, answering questions, and following client‑facing and security‑related procedures for visitors, deliveries, and after‑hours activity.

• At least one year of security‑related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and/or badge experience.
• Customer service experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screening required to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.
