To operate a simple piece of mobile equipment with repetitive functions on the Tech Shield line in an OSB manufacturing facility.
In this position you will have the opportunity to:- Organize and manage finished product from mainline production.
- Organize product stored in warehouse and shipping pad
- Complete forklift inspection checklist
- Facilitate the process of re-graded product exiting the Tech Shield line
- Maintain supplies for Tech Shield strapper (cross-outs, Tech Shield bags, banding, glue, etc.)
- Assist with mill forklift needs
- Inventory and communicate downgraded material to Tech Shield Operator
- Perform general preventative maintenance on Tech Shield line
- Perform other duties as necessary.
- Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of simple equipment operation.
- Knowledge of general equipment maintenance.
- Time management skills.
- Demonstrated mechanical ability.
- Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.
- Must possess a valid driver's license
Education:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Experience:
- 1-2 years'experience operating mobile equipment preferred.
- Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
Plant environment with exposure to sawdust, chemicals, extreme temperatures (hot and cold), and other inclement conditions.
