Diesel Mechanic Maintenance B Shift RVI-Hanceville, AL

Job Overview

Work Shift B – 5 p.m. to 5 a.m., with rotating schedule and Sundays off.

• Maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture
• Receive training as required
• Perform various positions as required/assigned

• Maintenance and preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
• Perform tasks such as oil changes, greasing, repairing or replacing semi tires, brake repair or replacement on semi‑trucks and trailers.
• Operate cutting torch and electric welder for minimum one year experience.
• May perform air brake, electrical and air conditioning work.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders up to 20 feet, bend, stretch, reach and work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather and odors.
• Read and understand assignments; communicate orally and in writing.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Minimum 1 year industrial maintenance experience.
• Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must provide own tools for minimum maintenance.
• Proficiency with basic electrical, pneumatic and hand tools.
• Experience operating cutting torch and electric welder.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders up to 20 feet, bend, stretch, reach, and work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather and odors.
• Ability to read and understand assignments and communicate both orally and in writing.
