Red Seal Mechanic

Role Overview

This position provides maintenance and repair support for mobile and static explosive pumping equipment, including troubleshooting, fleet maintenance, and inspections to ensure regulatory compliance and safety.

• Troubleshoot and repair explosive pumping and manufacturing equipment
• Assist with vehicle audits and regulatory inspections
• Perform preventative fleet maintenance and inspections
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hazard management
• Fault find and repair prime mover explosive delivery units, primarily Western Star chassis

• Experience in electrical, hydraulic repair, and failure diagnosis
• Experience with Detroit Diesel, Mercedes, CAT engines; familiarity with pumps is an asset
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented with a strong safety focus
• Team player with organizational and communication skills
• Willingness to travel and work outdoors in all conditions
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP skills preferred
• Inter Provincial Red Seal in Heavy Duty or Truck and Transport required
• High school diploma or equivalent; valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s license; clean driving record

Training provided for equipment and safety, with tools, fuel card, housing, and meals during overnight stays. Compensation is approximately $50/hour, with benefits including health, dental, life insurance, disability, pension, holidays, and paid time off.
