Imagine this scenarioA motel’s dryer bank is down in Northern Birmingham, AL. You arrive, consult the schematics, trace the issue with your meter, swap the failed component, and bring the system back online. You walk the manager through root cause and preventive tips, update your ticket with time, parts, mileage and fuel, and coordinate a follow‑up with the parts team. Later, you swing by a hospital to assist our installers with a new washer delivery and setup.

It’s a day well spent.

What you’ll take ownership of Field repair of commercial laundry equipment across OPL and Vended environments (washers, dryers, ironers, and more)
Installation of replacement parts and performance checks to validate repairs

Complete, accurate documentation of service activities (labor, materials/parts)
Diligent recording of travel activities, including mileage and fuel purchases

Clear, courteous customer communication before, during, and after the job Proactive coordination with the service manager, parts department, and vendors

Upkeep of company‑provided tools, test equipment, and service vehicle

Hands‑on help with equipment installations and deliveries when scheduled

Other contributions that keep our operation efficient and responsive

Travel and territory

You will support the Northern Birmingham, AL market with substantial travel across your assigned area. Some overnight trips may be required for special projects.

Experience we look forHigh school diploma or equivalent

At least 2 years of mechanical repair experience; commercial laundry background is a plus, not a must (or an equivalent mix of education/training/experience)
Comfort with electrical testing equipment and diagnostic/programming tools

Familiarity with phone/email ticketing workflows for customer support (preferred)
Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel (preferred)

Regular talking and hearing; extensive hand use for tools/controls; periods of computer‑based work with close vision and focus adjustments

Valid driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Record; a company vehicle may be provided
