Role Description

The Accounts Receivable Clerk is a full-time, on-site role based in Hanford, CA. This position is responsible for preparing and issuing customer invoices, applying payments, and reconciling customer accounts. Daily tasks include reviewing sales orders and delivery documents for accuracy, entering billing data into the accounting system, and following up on past-due accounts by phone and email in a professional manner.

The role also includes researching and resolving billing discrepancies, maintaining organized records, and assisting with month-end closing activities related to receivables. The Accounts Receivable Clerk collaborates closely with sales, shipping, and accounting team members to ensure timely and accurate cash collection and clear customer communication.

Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Accounting and Finance to support accurate invoicing, payment application, and account reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated Analytical Skills to investigate discrepancies, validate data, and interpret account information.
  • Hands‑on experience with Invoicing processes, including generating invoices, tracking payments, and managing aging reports.
  • Clear and professional Communication skills for interacting with customers, internal departments, and external partners.
  • Proficiency with accounting or ERP software and Microsoft Excel (e.g., data entry, basic formulas, sorting and filtering).
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills in a deadline‑driven environment.
  • Ability to work on‑site daily in Hanford, CA, and collaborate effectively as part of a finance and operations team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or business is preferred.
