Instructional Assistant
Must pass an Instructional Assistant Proficiency Test with a score of 75% or higher in the areas of Math, Reading, and Writing or have an AA degree. Possess a valid driver's license and maintain insurability. Must be able to provide your own reliable transportation to work sites within Kings County.
Additional requirements:
1. Be fingerprinted at the Kings County Office of Education for a background clearance from the Department of Justice and the FBI, the $63.00 fee is paid by the applicant in cash, money order or cashier's check at the time you are fingerprinted. (The payment and a valid photo required to be fingerprinted). 2. Complete and online New Hire Orientation.
3. Take and pass a Proficiency Test ($7.00 cash fee - due on the day of the test) or provide transcripts showing an AA degree. Contact our office 00 to schedule an appointment to take the test.
4. Provide a current TB clearance.
