Short-term acute care hospital environment
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for OB/GYN patients in accordance with established standards and the nursing process
- Collect and analyze relevant data, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate progress toward outcomes
- Collaborate with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary team; supervise and coordinate duties of nursing staff at various levels
- Provide discharge planning support and patient/family education; maintain a safe, healing environment
- Provide recovery coverage in Labor and Delivery and be prepared to assist with cesarean deliveries as needed
- Document care accurately, communicate effectively with the treatment team, and support continuous quality improvement
- Licensure:
Current RN license in the state of practice (California) - Certifications:
BLS required; ACLS and NRP required; AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS; AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS; AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS - Education:
BSN preferred - Experience:
At least two years of recent RN experience in an acute care setting - Skills:
Ability to work in a Labor and Delivery recovery environment and respond to cesarean delivery needs; strong critical thinking and teamwork - Logistics:
Able to fulfill a night-shift travel assignment in a short-term acute care setting
