Education And Training Coordinator
Performs education and training for patients, staff and community. Coordinates, plans, and performs a variety of learning experiences for nursing team members. Determines educational needs based on team member input, physician feedback, performance improvement activities, variance report tracking, advances in clinical knowledge and practice. Coordinates unit educational activities to meet the assessed needs for team member development. Plans and performs new team member orientation, education and training on new technology/protocols, as well as ongoing in-service education.
Functions as a unit-based clinical expert.
Graduate of an approved school of nursing; BSN required, MSN preferred
Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Missouri required
5 years experience in related field
Basic Life Support Instructor, Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor, and/or TNCC Instructor
Certification in an Advanced Nursing Skill (Specialty area in which you will be working)
Knowledge and skill in program design, implementation and evaluation
Possess strong communication, organizational and leadership skills with strong critical thinking skills
Working knowledge of regulatory agency requirements
Familiar with basic nursing performance standards as outlined in the Missouri Nurse Practice Act
Proficient in Microsoft word, Excel, Outlook
