Central Stone Company is seeking a (Core) Driller Assistant for locations in Missouri, Illinois, and Iowa. This is a full-time, hourly position based out of Hannibal, MO, with general daily work hours of 6:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, as weather permits. Candidates must be willing to travel as this position will be based in the Hannibal area, but will require more weekday travel when operations are outside of the home base area.

Driller Assistant candidate requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Must be safety-focused
• Must pass a drug screen, background check, and applicable physical / functional capacity tests
• Must be willing to travel up to 75% of the time when drill site is remote
• Must be willing to work in all types of weather conditions
• Ability to speak clearly to others and understand directions given
• Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out detailed and involved written or verbal instructions and directions
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
• Ability to work in a team environment and react to urgent operational needs
• Must be able to meet all physical demands as outlined in Essential Physical Job Duties

Major Driller Assistant responsibilities include:

• Assisting in drill loading, unloading and load securement
• Setting up drill and equipment on site
• Handling sampling equipment and providing samples to client
• Handling augers and other drill tooling
• Assisting with equipment maintenance and repair (including tooling maintenance)
• Cleaning equipment and keeping work area clean and free of debris
• Maintaining a clean and organized truck and drill
• Hauling supplies and equipment
• Using tools, equipment and machinery including pickups, wrenches, fall protection systems and other safety equipment
