- Receives and monitors inbound orders from customers
- Accurately keys customer orders into Sage and ensuring all details are correct and match the customer’s PO in accuracy and completeness
- Maintain detailed and organized records of customer orders
- Initiates and coordinates requests for new part number set up (as applies)
- Initiates and coordinates pricing requests (as applies)
- Handles updates to the order per the customer request (quantity change, date change, ship to, etc)
- Answer inbound calls
- Provide a high level of service to our customers
- Additional duties as assigned
Job Description
Main Tasks
- Receives and monitors inbound orders from customers
- Accurately keys customer orders into Sage and ensuring all details are correct and match the customer’s PO in accuracy and completeness
- Maintain detailed and organized records of customer orders
- Initiates and coordinates requests for new part number set up (as applies)
- Initiates and coordinates pricing requests (as applies)
- Handles updates to the order per the customer request (quantity change, date change, ship to, etc)
- Answer inbound calls
- Provide a high level of service to our customers
- Additional duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years of experience relating to customer service
- Typing speed and accuracy
- Intermediate level knowledge MS Office Products to include Excel, Word and Outlook; experience using Sage x3 or SAP, SAP4
Hana and EDI are a plus. - Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, including speaking, writing, active listening
- Must be able to read, understand, and comply with written and verbal instructions
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, employees are frequently working indoors with traditional office noises and conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be moderate.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard. Must be able to lift up to 25lbs
