As a competent Senior Biomedical Technician, candidate must be capable of performing preventative maintenance and repairs on a wide variety of biomedical equipment.

The Senior Biomedical Technician is a subject matter expert with a primary focus on respiratory and ventilator repair as well as various medical devices for the Biomedical Center. Expected to serve as a mentor to fellow biomed and utility technicians to improve the competency and efficiency of our technicians.

The Senior Biomedical Technician will participate in business growth and productivity improvement initiatives, as well as demonstrate boundaryless teamwork and assist in any function and/or role within the Biomed Center.

• Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, OT as required.
• Compensation: $33/hr.

• Responsible for performing testing, service, and repairs on a wide variety of biomedical equipment, including respiratory and ventilator devices.
• Assures clean and orderly service area, providing a safe environment for service personnel.
• Responsible for meeting individual and department productivity goals.
• Works closely with leadership to improve current processes and procedures to deliver unparalleled quality results to customers and the center.
• Competent with inventory processes, utility technician responsibilities and must complete all required training as directed by leader.
• Serves as a mentor and coach, sharing knowledge and expertise effectively with all Biomedical technicians.
• May be required to assist with internal or external audits and/or inspections.

• 3+ years of related experience

• Advanced ability to troubleshoot and repair medical devices with a focus on respiratory devices in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
• Performs all job tasks at a high level of quality and detail, meeting or exceeding productivity expectations.
• Maintains compliance with all applicable standards (SOPs and work instructions) in performing job duties.
• Good decision-making skills.
• Ability to prioritize work.
• Ability to remain flexible and respond to changing priorities while remaining focused on results.
• Organized with strong time management and communication skills.
• Demonstrates aptitude to learn the use of biomedical systems (i.e., One Track) and various device testing software at a high level.

• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft office tools.
• Ability to lift 50+lbs.

• Experience or education in an electronic field, preferably biomedical, or a combination of education and experience. Typically requires 5-7 years of related experience (Preferred).
• Must have 3 plus years of proven experience and/or willingness to learn the process of diagnosing and ultimately servicing various biomedical devices. Must achieve manufacturer certification repairing respiratory and ventilator devices.
