As a Services Technician Sr, you will perform installation, modification, repair, testing and/or servicing on systems and communications equipment, including, but not limited to: hardware and peripherals; software configuration; voice, video and data cabling systems; and networks. You will service both internal Insight teammates and customers on site.

• Perform necessary hardware and peripheral repairs, diagnosing issues and determining efficient, cost‑effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Install and test system hardware at customer sites, setting up equipment, verifying operation, and troubleshooting problems.
• Complete all required documentation for service calls to ensure accurate billing and timely return of defective products or parts, following Insight and vendor policies.
• Identify system hardware problems and determine the most efficient resolution.

• Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university, or 3-4 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with LANs, WANs, personal computers, messaging, and server software applications.
• Knowledge of cable plants, network services, email, bulletin boards, and CD-ROM libraries.
• Ability to automate tasks using basic scripting techniques.

• Freedom to work from another location—including an international destination—for up to 30 consecutive calendar days per year.
