Job Description:

You will utilize project management skills to implement new operational processes and equipment to assist the business unit in meeting its strategic goals. The Manufacturing Engineer will participate in and support kaizen events, cell design, standard product design revisions, cost improvement projects, capital expenditure projects, and supply chain initiatives.
You will:
- Provide technical support for plant operations.
- Attend to issues in the assembly line and ensure the operation continues without hindrance.
- Maintain a continuous flow of the assembly process.
- Provide guidance to operators, cell leads, and Production Manager regarding projects, process improvements, and line issues.
- Support production by providing fixturing and tooling, conducting time studies, and troubleshooting quality and process issues.
- Identify root causes and develop strategies for eliminating recurring downtime.
- Continuously monitor, analyze, and resolve process problems.
- Document proposals for improved efficiency and make adjustments as required.
- Work with plant quality control and manufacturing personnel to ensure processes and equipment produce products that meet quality and engineering standards.
- Review new and modified specifications for proper content and schedule their introduction into the manufacturing system.
- Make the assembly process simpler and more ergonomic.
- Participate in Kaizen events.
- Source outside vendors, define SOWs, and manage contract deliverables.
- Take responsibility for start‑up, set‑up, and validation of new tools and equipment, and conduct trials with documentation.
- Monitor process, including new equipment and tools, to ensure performance to specifications.
- Implement capital and non‑capital projects.
- Apply statistical methods and data‑driven problem solving to supply capable equipment, tools, materials, and processes to manufacturing.
- Assist with assuring tools, equipment, and processes comply with OSHA standards.
- Participate in advanced product quality planning FMEA activities for the development of the control plan.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering;
Mechanical or Electrical preferred. - 5+ years of experience in manufacturing supporting both processes and procedures; 7+ years preferred.
- LEAN manufacturing experience preferred.
- Understanding of Project/Program Management Methodologies and utilizing resources to drive bottom‑line results.
- Basic working knowledge of PLC programming and ladder logic.
- Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, servo motion control, sonic and spin welding.
- Experience in robotics programming, troubleshooting, and diagnostics preferred (Fanuc preferred).
- MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) and JDE.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Solid Works, and other related programs.
- Hands‑on with a strong mechanical/electrical aptitude.
- Proficiency in English required.
- Proficiency in Spanish a plus.
Compensation:
For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $82,300 – $152,800 per year. Actual compensation will be commensurate with a demonstrable level of experience and training, relevant education, location, and other business factors. This position may be eligible for additional forms of compensation such as an annual incentive bonus.
