Inspector Packer - Night shifts

Job Summary

Manually inspects completed plastics parts and packs them into boxes for shipping. Seals boxes, prints labels and stacks full boxes on pallets. May operate machines. May train Inspector/Packer I’s. Operates in a safe manner and keeps work area clean and organized.

• In process inspection: frequent examination of the visual attributes of each product (discoloration, shorts, burns, contamination sinks, splay, delamination, etc.)
• Records data: any information regarding the product or performance of duties that is deemed necessary by management.
• Packing: prepare by transferring product from catch bins or boxes into shipping containers, transporting to shipping area, properly weighing, completing and affixing correct label to container using SAP, preparing and supplying new or used boxes to the molding presses and stacking finished product correctly on pallets.
• Maintain work area: keep production and packing area clean by sweeping floors, picking up stray molded parts, removing dust, dirt, grease or oil from molding presses, and cleaning oil or water spills and leaks.
• Sorts and reworks: sort and/or rework product that does not conform to customer requirements, properly document and label to identify status of non‑conforming product, sample and gauge reject product if required.
• Foster teamwork: develop and maintain good working relationships with all departments.
• Complete all required training as assigned.
• Conduct job functions safely.
• Comply with applicable state and federal safety and environmental regulations, use appropriate safety equipment.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Math skills must be average or better.
• Ability to spend long hours walking and standing.
• Good color perception and manual dexterity.
• Ability to safely lift up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to work well with others at all levels.
• Able to work orderly, logically while paying attention to detail.
• Communicate verbally and in writing with good command of English.
• Proficiency in personal computers, Microsoft Office, SAP and e‑mail skills preferred.

The hourly pay range for this role is $16.01 - $28.08. Job‑related, non‑discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and internal equity.
