SummaryThe Tooling Technician is responsible for the repair and “return-to-operation” of injection molding tools that are actively engaged in producing quality products.

- Perform preventive maintenance on Injection Molds according to procedure and report the status of the molds to the supervisor.
- Operate machining tools and equipment for preventive and/or corrective maintenance of the molds.
- Perform repairs and tests on Injection Molds.
- Perform inventory of molding tools and parts and report the status to supervisor.
- Store and maintain validated components.
- Store non-validated components.
- Maintain stock inventories by ensuring the proper levels of component parts are available at all times for tooling repair.
- Improve the efficiency and accuracy of molded products by documenting reasons for mold repairs and solutions to prevent future manufacturing interruptions.
- Follow all procedures and training.
- Maintain excellent attendance.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Advise supervisor of any recurring production failures so that prompt corrective action may be taken.
- Escalate recurring issues through the proper chain of command.
- Maintain logs of all molds that have undergone preventative maintenance, as well as controlling each of the molds.
- Maintain machine cleanliness standards.
- Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations.
- Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have experience repairing plastic injection molds.
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Machines and tools area knowledge.
- Ability to operate all manual mold shop equipment and machines.
- Mechanical skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Determination.
- Problem solving skills/troubleshooting.

The hourly pay range for this role is $20.77 - $37.36. Job-related, non‑discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
