Shift: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
AboutThe Role
As a Forklift Driver, you will operate a forklift to receive, locate, and move products throughout the warehouse, fill customer orders with accuracy, and transport them to the truck line shipping area. You'll also perform quality control checks to ensure the complete order is accurate. We look for someone who is accountable, safety‑conscious, productive, and motivated to exceed company standards.
Key Responsibilities- Off‑load daily shipments and stage them properly on the receiving floor.
- Accurately count and document inbound deliveries and perform proper maintenance on all forklifts.
- Pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring the correct quantity and type of product is picked, packed, and shipped.
- Weigh orders, inspect, and load trucks and assemble various types of merchandise for shipment.
- Label, mark, and shrink‑wrap orders as requested, ensuring order item quantity and item types are accurate.
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety, adhering to safety standards and reporting any unsafe conditions immediately.
- Operate hand jacks, shrink‑wrapping equipment, forklift trucks, process orders on a PC or handheld scanning unit, and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse and comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 6 months of warehouse experience and 1 year with Crown stand‑up and cherry picker.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently.
- Knowledge of receiving, warehouse, and safety procedures and some computer experience.
- Strong organization and time‑management skills; ability to multitask.
- Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints within a timely fashion.
- Accountability and safety‑consciousness, motivated to exceed company standards.
- Ability to communicate in and understand English to the extent necessary to perform essential job functions.
