Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods.
  • Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee performance.
  • Organize and maintain inventory and storage area.
  • Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy.
  • Communicate job expectations and coach employees.
  • Determine staffing levels and assign workload.
  • Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems.
  • Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status.
  • Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
  • Confer and coordinate activities with other departments.
  • Focus on continuous improvement and assist in implementation of improvements aimed at cost, quality, delivery and morale.
  • Ensure the safe operation of equipment and that all team members are using the appropriate safety equipment.
  • Coordinate work assignments to meet customer schedules.
  • Train employees as required to assure timely delivery of quality products to customers. This will include training employees in the safe operation of equipment, proper housekeeping procedures and all quality activities.
  • Assure adherence to Quality standards.
  • Perform required production assignments when employees are absent.
  • Ensure 100% on‑time delivery to schedules. Delivery compliance is achieved through knowledge of process flow, constraint theory, up‑time management and capacity planning.
  • Assure continuous productivity improvement. Productivity improvement is achieved when team members are effectively utilized while applying the two principles of waste elimination and increasing throughput.
  • Capable of building an effective team. Skilled in interviewing and hiring capable people and disciplining or releasing people when necessary.
  • A capable decision maker.
  • Responsible for understanding, and implementing the integration of distribution software.
  • Ability to solve problems. Using tools such as the 8‑D process or any other problem solving technique acceptable to the industry.
  • Effective in organizing and planning.
Salary Range

$62,000 - $85,250
