Job Summary
To effectively monitor and maintain the bank’s critical technology infrastructure and resolve more complex technical issues while minimising disruption to operations.
Accountabilities- Provision of technical support for service management to resolve more complex issues for a specific client or group of clients.
- Develop the support model and service offering to improve the service to customers and stakeholders.
- Execute preventative maintenance tasks on hardware and software and use monitoring tools/metrics to identify, prevent and address potential issues and ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain a knowledge base containing detailed documentation of resolved cases for future reference, self‑service opportunities and knowledge sharing.
- Analyze system logs, error messages and user reports to identify root causes of hardware, software and network issues and provide resolution by fixing or replacing faulty components, reinstalling software, or applying configuration changes.
- Implement automation, monitoring enhancements, capacity management, resiliency, business continuity management, front‑office specific support, and stakeholder management.
- Identify and remediate or raise potential service‑impacting risks and issues through appropriate processes.
- Proactively assess support activities and implement automations where appropriate to maintain stability and drive efficiency.
- Tune monitoring tools, thresholds and alerting to ensure issues are known when they occur.
As an Assistant Vice President, you will advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. You will collaborate closely with other functions, lead a team performing complex tasks, set objectives, coach employees, carry out performance appraisal, and determine reward outcomes. Key Responsibilities- Participate in day‑to‑day technology operations across a range of capabilities for customers and colleagues.
- Reactivate and proactively resolve incidents, perform changes and upgrades to Windows Server infrastructure.
- Support Windows clusters, antivirus, backups, deployment tools and monitoring tools, and manage capacity.
- Provide end‑to‑end support for all major incidents that have business impact, working with other support teams to recover services.
- Participate in design and innovation of products using the newest technologies.
- Provide constant service improvements and automation development.
- Implement business‑driven changes and requests.
- Manage vulnerability maintenance through monthly patching of 50,000+ Windows servers and ensure compliance.
- Perform service resilience activities (DCR) to ensure services operate as expected at remote locations.
- Back up and recover OS and application data at regular intervals and resolve any issues.
- Complete problem resolution including problem management, root‑cause analysis and implementation of remedies.
- Work with the CSO (Risk) management team to understand risks, impacts and troubleshoot user‑access related issues, providing advisory and process‑improvement recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with all risk and audit requirements.
Salary Range: $150,550 – $160,000 per year (base salary only; does not include additional compensation).
