What will you be doing?

Barclays Services LLC seeks Metrics Team Analyst in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available):

  • Supporting the Analytics function in delivering insight to support the strategy and direction of the USBC Operations teams.

  • Utilizing key analytical tools and processes to drive operational efficiency, cost efficiency and a strong focus on Customer Experience.

  • Exploring opportunities for virtual channels and automated technologies to support customer demand.

  • Helping define business cases when implementing new technologies or processes.

  • Executing on key automation opportunities to deliver insight into the hands of our external and internal stakeholders quickly.

  • Assessing and communicate risks to Departmental Leadership to ensure that project goals and objectives are being met.

  • Helping define visualization standards for presentations and dashboards.

  • Sharing insights with Senior Leaders across the business with strong presentation skills.

Salary / Rate Minimum/yr: $137,750 per year

Salary / Rate Maximum/yr: $155,000 per year

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To extract meaningful insights from complex data sets, developing robust decision models, and presenting actionable recommendations to stakeholders across the departments.

Accountabilities
  • Identification and extraction of relevant data from various internal and external sources.
  • Performing sensitivity analysis and scenario planning.
  • Monitoring and evaluation of the performance of existing models.
  • Development and implementation of data quality control procedures.
  • Building and validation of quantitative models to support decision-making across different business areas.
Assistant Vice President Expectations

  • Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
  • Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.
  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams, companies, etc).to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Communicate complex information. 'Complex' information could include sensitive information or information that is difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience.
  • Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
