Credit Risk Support Lead – SRE

Barclays seeks an experienced SRE professional to monitor, maintain and continuously improve the bank’s critical technology infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for the service management function to resolve complex incidents and changes.
  • Develop and evolve the support model and service offering to improve service quality for customers and stakeholders.
  • Execute preventative maintenance tasks on hardware and software and utilize monitoring tools/metrics to identify, prevent and address potential issues.
  • Maintain a knowledge base that documents resolved cases, supports self‑service opportunities and facilitates knowledge sharing.
  • Analyze system logs, error messages and user reports to identify root causes of hardware, software and network issues and provide resolution.
  • Implement automation, monitoring enhancements, capacity management, resiliency and business continuity management to support front‑office operations.
  • Identify and remediate or raise potential service‑impacting risks and issues through the appropriate processes.
  • Proactively assess support activities and implement automations to maintain stability and drive efficiency.
  • Tune monitoring tools, thresholds and alerting to ensure issues are known when they occur.
Qualifications
  • End‑to‑end responsibility of IT services, including day‑to‑day operations, incidents and changes.
  • Robust understanding of regulatory compliance, risk frameworks, audit and metrics monitoring of service health and control effectiveness.
  • Experience overseeing support teams, delegating effectively and communicating with business users and senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize issues, refine support procedures and drive continuous improvement across support processes.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and how application support integrates to enhance delivery, stability and reliability.
  • Domain knowledge within a metrics environment and understanding of business continuity for critical services.
  • Proficiency in ITIL practices with a focus on metric definition, monitoring and service performance outcomes.
  • Project and resource management skills, including experience with follow‑the‑sun models.
Location & Salary

Whippany, NJ. Salary range: $150,000 – $215,000, exclusive of additional compensation or benefits.
