Description
About Preferred Business SystemsWe're a growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) based in Whippany, NJ, delivering hands-on IT support, network management, and cloud solutions to a diverse client base across the region. We're not a help desk churn-and-burn shop — we're a tight-knit team that invests in our people, promotes from within, and gives technicians real ownership of their client relationships.
What You'll Be DoingThis is a client-facing, mixed remote/field role — you'll be the face of PBS for your assigned clients, handling everything from day-to-day tickets to proactive network maintenance. HaloPSA - Communicate clearly with clients — explaining technical issues in plain language, setting expectations, and following up

- 2+ years Microsoft 365 admin experience (licensing, Exchange, Teams, Intune/Entra)
- Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing & switching, firewalls
- Hands-on experience with RMM and PSA tools — N-able and HaloPSA experience a strong plus
- Strong client-facing communication skills — professional, patient, and able to explain tech to non-technical people
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client site visits (~25% travel, local NJ/NY area)
- CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications (MS-900, MD-102, AZ-900)
- Cisco CCNA or equivalent networking certification
- Experience with backup/DR solutions (Datto, Veeam, Acronis)
