Job Overview
Senior Software Engineer for CIAM – lead the design, development, and modernization of a new digital platform. This role focuses on migrating legacy IAM systems to a modern, secure, and scalable solution that supports customer experience.
Responsibilities- Develop and deliver high‑quality software solutions using industry‑aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
- Write clean, maintainable, and performance‑optimised code, following secure coding practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define requirements, devise solution strategies, and integrate with business objectives.
- Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Implement effective unit‑testing practices and design patterns.
- Stay current with industry technology trends and contribute to the organization’s technology communities.
- Strong IAM engineering background with experience in tooling, protocols, authentication, authorization, and identity federation.
- Hands‑on experience with SSO, OAuth2, OIDC, PKI, PSD2, SCA, and possession‑based authentication.
- Proficiency in Forge Rock products (Ping Gateway, PingAM, PingIDM, PingDS) and scripting of Ping Gateway routes.
- Proficient in JavaScript or Java and in designing extensible IAM APIs.
- Experience building custom PingAM authentication trees, integrating downstream APIs, threat sensors, and adaptive authentication.
- Knowledge of data links to LDAP, JDBC, SOAP, HTTPS, and other data sources.
- Strong problem‑solving, risk‑management, and strategic thinking skills.
- Capability to work cross‑functionally with security, product, and compliance teams.
Whippany, NJ office. Salary range: $170,000 – $230,000 per year. Eligible for an incentive award.
