Business Intelligence Developer

Role Overview

Business Intelligence Developer – Barclays Services Corp., Whippany, NJ (Hybrid role, may telecommute pursuant to company policies).

• Design, develop, and improve software solutions using industry‑aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
• Ensure code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance; adhere to secure coding practices to protect sensitive data.
• Perform unit testing, continuous integration and automated deployment to maintain high quality and agility.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration.
• Participate in code reviews, promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing, and stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations.
• Manage risk and strengthen controls related to software development; support business in achieving its strategic objectives within regulatory constraints.
• Develop reports and dashboards in Business Objects, Qlik View, and Qlik Sense; print in line with business requirements.
• Organize or participate in stakeholder meetings to gather requirements and plan solutions.
• Contribute to the definition of data development standards, design patterns, and techniques.
• Produce detailed technical specifications and deliver to committed timescales.
• Conduct design and code reviews for the development team.

• In‑depth technical knowledge and experience in software development and business intelligence.
• Strong understanding of underlying principles and concepts within the area of expertise.
• Ability to work independently as an individual contributor or lead a team, guiding professional development and coordinating resources.
• Problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify and select appropriate solutions guided by technical experience.
• Experience with Agile or Scaled Agile techniques and documentation practices.

Minimum Salary: $103,210 per year—Maximum Salary: $135,000 per year.
