HAMR Instructor

If you want to be part of a dynamic Instructor Team delivering engaging and cutting‑edge training solutions, this is the place for you! We are currently seeking a HAMR Instructor in Hanover, MD. Instructors will be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary Team delivering highly sophisticated, technical, hands‑on training solutions to meet the mission and time‑critical needs of our customers.

Work Schedule:

attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40‑hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday, although times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Availability to work overtime during critical peaks and last‑minute requests is required.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Instructors act both as subject‑matter experts through lecture and lab work, and as coaches for students – working not only to impart expertise required to meet certification standards for their career path, but also how to be successful in mission when it counts.
  • Work with students to prepare them to meet the mission‑critical needs of our customers.
  • Monitor student performance on practical exercises and provide feedback.
  • Employ virtualization technology heavily to simulate real‑world scenarios that create an immersive cyber‑environment for students.
  • Collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary Team to recommend updates to course content, training materials, and documentation.
  • Research, document, and test security solutions for emerging technologies, security methodologies, and CNE concepts.
  • Support the development of comprehensive, tactically relevant operational training, including the design, development, and implementation of training exercises and scenarios required to prepare students for operations.
  • Maintain knowledge of course map(s) and update them as courses evolve.
  • Create and update detailed schedule(s) for the courses being supported.
Minimum Requirements
  • Fully cleared individuals (TS/SCI required).
  • Demonstrate knowledge of creating and configuring virtual hosts and networks using VMware to develop real‑world scenarios.
  • Demonstrate scenario‑development and virtual‑learning‑module creation using tools such as VMware vSphere, VMware vCenter, Moodle Captivate, Camtasia, and Articulate.
  • Proficiency in commonly used programming languages (preferred Python, Ruby, and shell scripting).
  • Administration knowledge of setting up and maintaining common Unix, Unix‑variant, and Windows servers.
  • Ability to perform trend analysis of student performances and identify material that should be improved.
  • Recommend and implement future course materials to keep courses current and improve the student learning experience through exercises, demonstrations, and animated visual aids.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in development, testing, deployment, operations, training, or maintenance of electrical/electronic/software systems.
  • Additional three (3) years of experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree for a total of five (5) years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in system design, including general networking systems.
  • Effective communication, writing, documentation, and requirement‑gathering skills.
  • Experience as a trainer or course developer for cyber courses.
  • Knowledge of web development.
  • Provide recommendations for technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
  • Mentor junior team members.
Compensation

$180,000 - $190,000
