• Maintain current licensure and complete required training.
• Assess student complaints and provide medications as ordered.
• Dispense medications, update prescriptions, and maintain accurate medication records.
• Monitor vital signs, weigh students, and schedule lab tests per medical protocol.
• Provide nursing care in the Health Center, administer first aid, and respond to emergencies.
• Document and log clinic use, nursing notes, communications, and medication logs.
• Support staff and parents by providing health‑related information and training.
• Uphold the mission and values of Cardinal Cushing Centers and adhere to the Center Code of Professional Standards and Behavior.
• Assist in diet programs and monitor weight control for students who need it.
• Perform administrative duties: handle controlled substances, daily counts, and attend department meetings.
• Act as Director in absence and assume additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Check and prepare all medications.
• Order student medications through pharmacy.
• Notify parents when medication supply is low or due to refill.
• Verify expiration dates, correct labeling, and pack supplies for field trips and home visits.

• Graduate of an NLN‑approved nursing school and current RN license; LPN considered with experience.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Completion of orientation and required training.
• Certifications:
  
  CPR, Safety Care (and other required certifications as re‑certified).
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience;
  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, respond to emergencies, and work with students, parents, staff, and physicians.
• Good vision, ability to stand for long periods, and ability to assist or lift students with physical disabilities.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
