Overview

bRijon Veterinary Urgent Care is a privately owned veterinary urgent care center in Hanover, MA. Our facility has all new, state of the art equipment. We are open 7 days a week (excluding major holidays).

Hours:

Our hours are 2pm-10pm Monday-Thursday, 10am-10pm Fridays, and 11am-7pm Saturday and Sunday.

Our goal is to provide the best veterinary care to our furry friends throughout Southeastern Massachusetts. We see scheduled appointments, as well as walk-in cases.

You will be working in a fast-paced environment. The right candidate should have a positive attitude, and be comfortable working with clients as well as our furry patients. It will help if you have emergency or urgent care experience, but any related veterinary experience would be great!

Responsibilities
  • Checking patients in, Triage pets over the phone or in-person as they arrive at the clinic
  • Interview pet owners to obtain a thorough patient history
  • Performing patient workups in the treatment area (blood draws, x-rays, running lab work on our in house machines, etc.)
  • Assist with surgeries, Anesthesia and monitor animals after surgery
  • Administer medications, check clients out and provide at-home dosage instructions for clients
  • Keep accurate patient records
Position Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar role
  • Knowledge of animal care and handling
  • Excellent communication skills - with clients, computer literacy and Telephone skills
  • Work well under pressure, ability to multi-task and remain organized in a busy environment
  • Patience and a love for animals
  • You must be able to stand, walk, kneel, hear and see. You will frequently be on your feet and expected to be able to lift and move things, including our animal patients
  • You must be able to lift 25lbs unassisted
  • Must be comfortable with veterinary terminology and medical calculations
