School Bus Driver (Anticipated Position)

South Shore Technical High School anticipates the need for a licensed School Bus Driver for morning and afternoon student transportation. The position starts on September 2, 2026. After‑school and late‑afternoon runs are available, along with opportunities for athletics, school field trips, and other similar runs. Paid orientation and in‑service hours are provided. Licensure and certification updates, DOT physicals, and other required payments are covered by the District.

This is a union position.

Hourly rates start at $32.72 per hour, per the Unit B Support Unit Contract. The driver must be available to attend a pre‑opening day meeting/orientation scheduled the week prior to school opening. Membership in the Plymouth County Retirement System is required.

Requirements:

• Licensed to drive a Massachusetts School Bus.
• Clean driving record.
• At least 1 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
• Individuals who may have direct and unmonitored contact with students are required to undergo criminal background checks as per Massachusetts law.
