Schedule: Regular nights and weekends at performing arts events
Position PurposeHouse manages, or supervises the House Management, of public events in the Hopkins Center. Responsible for on‑site patron relations. Supports administrative functions of the Hopkins Center Events Office.
Key Responsibilities- On‑site Events Manager, supervising Student House Managers, Student Head Ushers, and Volunteer (Community) Ushers at live and film events.
- Uses File Maker, Microsoft Word, Excel, and specialized ticketing software (Audience View) to support administrative functions of the office (scheduling; database entry and monitoring; tracking and reporting sales data).
- Works with Dartmouth Computing, assists in the transition and training needed for the planned upgrade of the Volunteer Usher website platform.
- Demonstrates professionalism and collegiality through actions, interactions, and communications appropriate to a welcoming environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience.
- One year of experience working on‑site during live public events, providing access to patrons of all ages and abilities.
- Two plus years of administrative experience in an arts‑related setting, or equivalent.
