The Precollege Programs Manager plays a central role in bringing Dartmouth’s mission to life for the next generation of scholars. By ensuring the seamless day-to-day operation of Dartmouth’s on-campus and online Precollege programs, this role creates the conditions for high school students to thrive academically and personally in a collegiate environment. The Program Manager serves as a critical link between students and families, instructors, and the broader Dartmouth community — translating program vision into lived experience.
Through thoughtful coordination, proactive communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement, the Program Manager helps Dartmouth deliver transformative educational experiences that reflect the College’s values of intellectual rigor, inclusivity, and lifelong connection.
We’re hiring for a Precollege Programs Manager. This could be you if…
You are an organized, people-oriented professional who wants to help high school students have a transformative experience at one of the world’s great universities. You thrive on logistics, love supporting faculty and students alike, and find genuine satisfaction in making complex programs run smoothly. You’re equally comfortable answering a nervous family’s questions and building a semester’s worth of enrollment reports.
You are able and willing to work on-campus in Hanover, NH during program sessions, with hybrid flexibility outside of peak program dates.
But enough about you — how about us?
We are the Dartmouth Precollege Programs team — a small, mission-driven group dedicated to bringing the Dartmouth experience to high school students from across the country and around the world. We’re collaborative, creative, and deeply committed to student success. We believe access to rigorous, inspiring academic experiences can change a young person’s trajectory, and we work hard to deliver that every summer.
What about daily life?
Work with instructors, residential staff, and student mentors to coordinate everything from class schedules and orientation to field trips and end-of-program celebrations. Manage communications with enrolled students and families. Track enrollment data, support hiring, and help build the systems and resources that keep our programs running year after year. Stay curious, flexible, and calm under pressure — because no two days look the same.
