Position Title
Student & Alumni Affairs Coordinator
Job SummaryReporting to the Director, HCME Programs and Operations, the Student & Alumni Affairs Coordinator develops and manages events and services for students and alumni of Health Care Management Education (HCME) programs. The role aims to delight students and alumni, fostering a loyal, committed, engaged community.
Location:
Hanover, NH. This is a hybrid position requiring onsite presence three days per week (including some weekends and evenings during program delivery), with remote flexibility on other weekdays.
- Plan and manage events for students (residential sessions, learning expeditions, investiture, commencement) and alumni (online seminars, learning expeditions, HCDS Symposium, and other gatherings).
- Manage event registration and communication through Encompass website, Canvas, email, and other channels.
- Collaborate with program leadership to develop and maintain academic calendars, residential schedules, and a calendar of co‑curricular events.
- Support the distribution of annual fund and class gift communications, track participation, and produce acknowledgement letters.
- Collaborate with HCME colleagues to support the production and distribution of student and alumni newsletters.
- Maintain the Encompass website in partnership with Dartmouth Advancement.
- Respond to the needs of HCME students and alumni to enhance the learning experience and build community.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree plus 2–3 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2–3 years of professional event planning and management experience.
- Proficiency with a broad array of technology and online tools, including social media and database software.
- Strong writing, organizational, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
- Creative and strategic thinking.
- Ability to work independently, exercise initiative and judgment, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
- Commitment to supporting a vibrant, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community.
Preferred
- Project Management training.
- Proficiency with website maintenance tools and programs.
- Capability to obtain and maintain Dartmouth driver certification.
