Job Responsibilities
Work closely with R&D project team members to develop hardware prototypes from the ground up. As an Engineering R&D consulting company, Creare has a broad spectrum of challenging projects to develop cutting‑edge electronic devices and equipment for biomedical, energy, advanced battery, high‑voltage, military, and space applications. We're looking for a hands‑on and detail‑oriented Electronics Engineering Technician with a strong background in PCB design and layout to join our R&D team.
In this role, you'll work closely with engineers and other technicians to support the design, procurement, and testing of custom electronics for R&D and production applications.
- Assist with the design and layout of printed circuit boards using industry‑standard tools (e.g., OrCAD, Altium Designer, KiCad, or similar).
- Support schematic capture and component selection in collaboration with engineers.
- Prepare documentation packages for fabrication and assembly, including Gerber files, BOMs, and assembly drawings.
- Assemble, test, and troubleshoot PCBs, wiring harnesses, and prototype systems.
- Rework and modify PCBs, including soldering surface‑mount and through‑hole components.
- Maintain accurate records of design revisions, build notes, and test results.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure designs meet functional and manufacturing requirements.
