Finance Business Partner
Hypertherm Associates is seeking a highly impactful, collaborative, and forward-thinking Finance Business Partner to support both Plasma teams-Heavy Industrial Business (HIB) and Light Industrial Business (LIB). In this role, you will partner closely with the HIB and LIB General Managers (GMs), serving as a trusted advisor and integral member of the leadership teams. Embedded within the business, you will play a critical role in both delivering on annual operating commitments and shaping the long-term strategic direction of the businesses.
As the Finance Business Partner, you will co-own business performance alongside the GMs, driving alignment between strategy, execution, and financial outcomes. You will lead and facilitate sound, data-driven decision-making across key areas including capital investments, technology roadmaps, business strategy, and both long-range and annual planning processes. You are a dynamic finance leader who brings both strategic perspective and hands-on execution.
You are energized by influencing outcomes, partnering across functions, and translating financial insights into actionable business decisions. As a trusted confidant to the GMs and their teams, you will help guide priorities, enhance performance, and position the business for sustained success.
Who you are and the experience you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Operations Finance within a large manufacturing environment; additional experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Sales Finance, Business Development, or Strategy is a plus
- Strong analytical capabilities combined with sharp strategic thinking and business acumen
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, confident, and impactful messages across written, verbal, and presentation formats
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence effectively at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated track record of driving decisions through data-driven insights, sound analysis, and actionable recommendations
Preferred experience that differentiates you:
- Qualified: CPA or CMA
- MBA or master's
- Skills with Oracle Planning tools such as Oracle EPM, Hyperion, Essbase
- Oracle ERP
- Matrix reporting environment
- Knowledge of the industrial equipment industry
- BI tools (Power BI)
