Qualifications

The Hanover Police Department is accepting applications for full-time Certified Police Officers. Candidates must be full-time certified to apply for this position. Starting salary within listed range commensurate with qualifications and experience, with regular opportunities for pay increases plus additional enhancements.

• Structured hiring bonus – $15,000 for NH full‑time certified officers, $10,000 for out‑of‑state full‑time officers.
• Education incentives – 2% added to base salary for Associates, 4% for Bachelor’s, 6% for Master’s Degree.
• Physical fitness incentives – (Cooper Standards, 50th Percentile): 2% added to base salary first year, 1% added for meeting requirements each year thereafter, up to a total of 8%.

Hiring process includes a physical agility test, oral board, polygraph, medical and psychological examinations, and extensive background investigation. Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen and 21 years of age.
