About the OpportunityThe Unit Aide has an important role within the health care team. Reporting directly to the Health Services Manager, the Unit Aide is responsible for ordering, stocking and/or maintaining all supplies and equipment to meet the needs of patients in their designated work area. An understanding of the basic principles of infection control is essential and key to providing a safe environment for patients and staff alike.
This role also provides indirect and direct support for patient care.
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Grade 12, or equivalent
- Computer experience with Meditech, Order Entry and Microsoft Office considered an asset
- Experience cleaning and preparing clinic instruments
- Ability to work in a high volume, high pressure setting
- Knowledge of infection control procedures
- Ability to establish good relationships
- Good judgement and demonstrated initiative
- Team player with effective communication skills
- Competencies in other languages are an asset, French preferred

Hours- Long Assignment, Full‑time position; 75 hours bi‑weekly
- Approximately 12 months
$21.68 – $24.54 Hourly
