Client Technology Consultant, AV IT I

Hanover, NH

Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM; rotational on‑call schedule includes weekend coverage as assigned.

The Client Technology Consultant, AV IT I (CTCAVI) supports and enhances the academic and administrative environment at Dartmouth by providing operational support and consulting for AV, IT and related client technologies. This role ensures reliable technology experiences for students, faculty, and staff, facilitating effective learning, teaching, and operational activities through technology integration.

• Provide technology support and break‑fix for AV systems, computers, devices, and software.
• Deliver outstanding client service through support interactions with clients.
• Use endpoint management tools to support client computers and devices.
• Create and maintain documentation for technical issues and knowledge.
• Set up and support AV and IT equipment for events.
• Train and consult clients on the use of IT and AV technology.
• Identify areas for improvement in Client Technology Consulting processes and participate in process‑improvement initiatives.
• Participate in testing, development, communication, and implementation of projects.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share information, build relationships, and accomplish shared goals.
• Collaborate with colleagues to identify and pursue training opportunities aimed at developing expertise in both existing and emerging technologies.
• Actively engage in independent and institutional learning initiatives to acquire and enhance subject matter expertise.
• Demonstrate professionalism and collegiality through actions, interactions, and communications with others appropriate to an environment that is welcoming to all.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Associate’s degree with 1 year of relevant work experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated ability to understand client perspective and deliver client‑focused service.
• Demonstrated ability in supporting AV systems, desktop and mobile operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
• Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication and documentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced, client‑service‑oriented environment managing multiple tasks and priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively on teams.
• Self‑motivated and able to work with limited supervision.

• Experience working in an academic environment.
• Experience using IT service‑management software.
• Familiarity with endpoint management concepts and tools.
