Production Technician

We are looking for a strong Production Technician to join our Stellar Industrial Sales team in Dartmouth NS
. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the ideal candidate must be mechanically inclined.

• Required to perform other duties as assigned including backup to other departments
• Ability to accomplish multiple tasks in a timely and efficient manner

• Drives the Department’s initiatives to increase productivity, meet customer demands, reduce waste and reduce re-works
• Responsible for ensuring a quality product is produced based on company and customer standards/expectations and specified requirements
• Responsible for speed of production along with quality assurance and consistency with standards
• Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and organized work area
• Available for overtime
• Set goals and participate in the growth of Stellar by contributing new ideas and suggestions for continuing improvement
• Other duties as assigned

• High School diploma or equivalent with additional education and training considered an assets
• Hold a Nova Scotia Driver’s License Class 5
• Mechanically inclined
• First Aid training is considered an asset
• Able to read a tape measure and carry out verbal instructions
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Forklift Operator Safety Training an asset
• Be available for overtime when needed to meet customer requirements
• Legally entitled to work in Canada
